Officine Saffi Award aims at presenting the best works by artists, makers, artisans and designers engaged in contemporary ceramic creation. Officine Saffi Award works proactively to encourage the construction of new connections between artists, institutions and audiences, in a perspective of dialogue and intercultural exchange. The Award’s mission is to stimulate the creation of meaningful links between subject areas, practices, geographical settings and generations in order to broaden and enrich the ceramics discourse by disseminating its knowledge. For the 5th edition applicants were invited to focus on the concepts intrinsic to “(un)Known Territories,” and so on the richness of meanings that can be found in an open definition of the term “territory”: physical matter, sedimented and in constant transformation; place of discovery; subject and object of knowledge in the making; a narrative device that binds personal and collective stories, places and cultures.

Four Arts effort in promoting the art meets for the second time Officine Saffi Award mission with the sponsorship of an acquisition prize devoted to artists under the age of 35.

In 2021, Four Arts acquisition prize devoted to young artists was awarded to Veduta, an artwork by Francesco Ardini.
